She Who is Never Not Broken said:

“I acknowledge your presence.
You have lived at the back of my heart
For so long now.
All curled up in the protection
Of a hard-shell casing.
You’ve asked me to give you
A voice again
Through poetry and lyric.
In order to do this
I need to touch you,

To embrace you,
To soothe your fears
And dry your tears,
To crack the covering,
Show you Light
And let you reemerge into
The world.
For you are my muse,
My Child.
Your innocence is my

Inspiration
Reawaken your curiosity!
Be brave, the monsters
Are all gone.
Where there was once
An abyss of darkness
And wild beasts
Now lies a meadow
Awash in sunlight and
Wildflowers.
Come out and play.”

But the little girl
Was still
Too frightened,
Too insecure
Because of all
The terrible
Things
The monsters had done.
So she pushed herself
Away
From her Mother’s heart.
She fell
Faster and faster,
Farther and farther,
Down,
Down,
Down
Into the Abyss Of the Cosmic Sea.
And there she stayed.

But she always remembered
Her Mother’s last words.

Then one day the little girl in the hard-shell casing finally replied:

“Oh, Great Mother,
I hear your call,
I feel your energy
And sense your warmth.
But I have been hiding here
So long, now,
I feel safe.
I have made my home
Among the things that
Creep,
The things that
Crawl
And the
Slimy ones.
They cannot hurt me-
Not really,
Because I know them.
I know that they are
Sightless,
Mindless

And heartless.
They pose no real threat.
And serve to offer
As reminders
That there is life.
Though they offer
No warmth, no light,
They don’t ask me to
Open
As you do.

If I respond
To the enticement
Of your warmth,
Of your light,
What will become of
Me?
And what will
I become?
Better I stay here
Buried deep
In the dark, red
Mud.
In the depths of the
Still waters.
Here I know exactly
Who and what
I am.
And I can live any
Life I choose
In shadows and illusion.”

And She Who has Birthed a Million, Million Suns said lovingly:

“Oh, my Chlid,
I understand your fear!
I cannot promise
The way will be painless-
For change
Is difficult
And sometimes may seem
Overwhelming.
But this you can be sure of:
I am with you always.
Follow every trace of light
That appears in the darkness,
And you follow Me.
Let every current of warmth
That you encounter
Embrace you,
And know you are in
My arms.
Listen for My Voice
In the wind
On the waves
And know
I am guiding you
Home.

You must only trust
That your heart
Knows the way.

Let yourself,
Allow yourself,
Invite yourself
To break free.
You cannot go astray.
My Love for you
Is greater
Than you can imagine.
Anything you do,
Any choice you make
Will eventually lead you
To Me.
It is only a matter
Of time.”

And so the Mother began to sing;
A song of opening, of rooting down.
A song of foundation and security.
A song of fecundity and preparation for
The deep, dark mud
In which the seed lay.

“Lam, Lam, Lam…”
A crack
Appeared in the shell
And the little girl
Sent down her roots,
Down into the
Red-black
Darkness.
Even as she
Clung
Desperately,
Even as she tried to
Dig
Deeper
She felt a stirring,
A longing-
To reach Up
As well.
For every action
Has an equal
And opposite
Reaction,
And she did not know it yet
But coming from
Such vast depths
There was no limit
To how high
She might go.

And She Who Embraces the Universe continued to sing:

“Vam, Vam, Vam…”
And the Mother sent images
Of moonlight
Reflected on the waves.
Shafts of light
Penetrating
The depths.
Flashing orange
Pinpoints of light
In the silt
And the ooze.
These caught the eye
Of the little girl.
She peeked out
And looked around her-
Really looked,
Really saw
For the first time
Exactly where she was.
Though she would always
Remember
She had been here
It was no longer
Where she belonged.
Something had ignited
Inside her.
Passion stirred;
A longing to join,
To connect,
To find union
So deep and powerful
She could not resist.
So she began
To rise,
To grow,
To venture beyond
The shell
And follow the call.

She Who is the Center and the Circumference sang on:

“Ram, Ram, Ram…”
Even as the little girl
Grew up
The Light reached down
To guide her.
Even as she
Sent out tender feelers,
Tendrils
In various directions
Only to find
Walls or
Hungry Things or
Places of Darkness or
False shimmers of light,
Still she felt the yearning
To find her place,
To know herself,
To discover
Her true nature.
And though the reaching was
At times
Painful
Still, there was
The joy
Of discovery.
She remembered
To trust
The voice in her heart
And soothe
The fears of
The voice in her head.
The guiding light, now
A glowing yellow-gold
Surrounded, nurtured
And filled her.
And she continued
To climb.

She Who is the Embodiment of Love chanted on:

“Yam, Yam, Yam…”
The little girl
Began to truly Feel.
As the sea turned emerald green
She was flooded with
Compassion,
For those she had
Left behind
In the darkness.
Acceptance,
For where she had been,
Where she was now,
And wherever her journey
Might lead.
Tolerance and Forgiveness
For all of her mistakes and missteps
And those of others.
Gratitude
For the gift of the journey
And the awareness to
Treasure the process.
Fulfillment
In realizing her
Wholeness,

That everything
Is perfect
In the moment.
Peace
In understanding
That she was never,
Ever alone.
And deep, resonating
Love.

She Whose Play Created the Cosmos continued her song:

“Ham, Ham, Ham…”
The girl saw the water
Clear and azure blue
And something new
Inside of her
Stirred.
An urge to
Create
A form of
Expression.
But how?
She began to resonate
With the song of the Mother
And make it
Her very own.
Feeling herself
As one with

She Who Holds the Knowledge of All Potential, together they sang:

“Om, Om, Om…”
And the water turned
Violet-Purple.
Just above
The girl could see
The surface-
There was the moonlight
Reflected on the waves
That she had been
Promised.
There was the
Voice of the Mother
And now her own
Singing in the wind.
And now she
Could clearly hear
Her own infallible
Intuition
Calling forth
Her Highest Self.
Something inside
That had been there
Waiting
All along
Erupted.

In ecstasy and pure joy Akhilandeshwari watched her child emerge
Into the Light
Into her Self
Into evanescent,
Flawless,
Limitless
Form.
And the girl
Realized her
Destiny.
She blossomed,
Bursting
Above the water’s surface;
A thousand-petalled lotus
Drinking in
The rays of a
Divine Sun.
And the girl
Realized her
Eternal Nature-
Satchidananda;
Truth, pure Consciousness and
Bliss.
With Silence so profound it is
Deafening,
And Love deep and
All encompassing as
The Sea of Eternity
The Great Mother of All welcomed her daughter home.
Aum.
